The Scorers page

Welcome to the Scorer Resource and Help Page

This page is provided as a help resource to Cricket Scorers of all levels, whether you are an experienced Scorer or a parent helping out for the first time. Scorers are an integral part of any Cricket Match - there are hundreds of runs scored in any match, and the Scorers keep track of everything that goes on on-field. Law 3 of the Laws of Cricket relates specifically to The Scorers.

The VCAUSA award for Scorer of the Year is named after Jack Cameron Senior and Junior. Between them, the Camerons had an unbroken association with North Melbourne Cricket Club from 1939 to 2003, with approx 800 District plus over 600 State and International matches scored between them.

Live Scoring

The e-scoring system is PLAYHQ and you will be able to manage team lists, score matches and automatically publish live scores and full scorecards to PlayCricket. It is worth remembering that e-scoring is a way of putting your team’s match on Social Media and its Scorecard is only a summary of the match. The scorebook is the only true record that records every ball and incident during the game.

You will need a PLAYHQ Administrator login, so if you don't have one, please contact your Club's Administration Manager. Click here for more information on PLAYHQ Live Scoring

If you’ve already attended the online PlayHQ training you may have wanted to work through the videos more slowly, or without interruption.  If you were not able to attend an online session, you may want to become familiar with the operation.
